“One cup of coffee and I knew: this is right for me”
Walter has been happily working at KLINGER for nearly ten years now. Through a few colleagues he knew, he came into contact with KLINGER , and after a good conversation over a cup of coffee, it quickly became clear: this was a great fit. “Actually, I knew right away that KLINGER was a company that was a good fit for me. The combination of technology and customer contact within a professional organization really appealed to me.”
Technology and Business Come Together
As a Sales Engineer, Walter works at the intersection of engineering and business. He maintains relationships with customers, visits various production sites, and contributes ideas on technical issues, maintenance, and new projects.
“My work is very varied. I’m constantly on the lookout for new opportunities and work with clients to find the best technical solution. That might mean giving advice, discussing a quote, or measuring and documenting a technical situation on-site.”
That diversity ensures that no two days are the same. Walter starts his workday at the office and then heads out to visit clients and various locations. It is precisely that combination of working in the office and in the field that he finds interesting.
Freedom, trust, and great coworkers
For Walter, what makes working at KLINGER so enjoyable is, above all, the freedom to apply his own ideas and approach—and the trust he receives in doing so. “I work with dedicated and knowledgeable colleagues. The atmosphere is open and professional, which makes it easy for us to bounce ideas off each other.”
“If you want to grow, KLINGER gives you the opportunity to do so.”
According to Walter, KLINGER is an attractive employer for people who like to take the initiative and want to continue developing themselves.
“KLINGER is a great and healthy company with a wealth of expertise and opportunities for growth. You’ll be given responsibility and the chance to further develop yourself. If you love technology and working with customers, and would like to work for an organization that trusts you and gives you freedom, then I’d say: just apply. Who knows—maybe we’ll have a cup of coffee together soon.”
