Who are you and how did you come to work at KLINGER The Netherlands?
"First, let me tell you something about myself. I am married and have two sons aged 22 and 24 and I live in beautiful North Brabant. For 9 years I have been working as a Sales Engineer at KLINGER. I am also active as a city council member and group chairman of the largest local political party in our municipality and my hobby is making music. For about 25 years I have been playing tenor saxophone in a 10-piece party band, with which we perform over 30 gigs annually at festivals and corporate and private parties throughout the Netherlands. In my remaining free time, I do the bookkeeping for a local broadcaster. All my these activities and my work at KLINGER have one thing in common: Working together and achieving great results together."
"The reason I joined KLINGER is because of the good contact with the management. After my interest was piqued, I went for an interview at KLINGER and immediately felt the family feeling at the company. For me, this was an important argument for choosing KLINGER ."
What does a Sales Engineer do at KLINGER?
"I have now been working for 9 years as a Sales Engineer in North Brabant, where I promote the full KLINGER range, from seals, appendages, hoses to expansion joints. I do this by visiting our customers. Issues that arise during these visits I elaborate further with the product specialists and the sales team. I then go on to discuss our proposal plus offer with the customer."
"As a Sales Engineer, internal communication is also essential. I regularly visit the Rotterdam office and have periodic meetings with the commercial director to keep the lines of communication short. I also participate in KLINGER training sessions, organized by product specialists, to increase my product knowledge and exchange experiences with colleagues. Finally, some administration in our CRM system is also part of my duties."
What is it like to work at KLINGER?
"KLINGER puts everything at my disposal so that I can do my work well and the enthusiastic, driven colleagues make cooperation pleasant. For the approximately 130 employees, KLINGER regularly organizes activities such as the annual BBQ to get to know each other better, which strengthens the team feeling. In short, KLINGER is a commercially driven company where people come first. This applies to both colleagues and our customers!"
