KLINGER Finland acquires Econosto Oy

With the acquisition of Econosto Oy by KLINGER , KLINGER increases its share of the Finnish market.
Econosto Oy has a strong market position in MRO in numerous industries, especially shipbuilding.

The founder of Econosto Oy, Martti Lehto, knew that integrating his family business into an even larger family business would be a logical way for Econosto Oy to expand while staying true to its values. He felt it was especially important to ensure that his company was handed over in good hands. "1+1=3" explains Markku Ivanoff, general manager of KLINGER Finland, referring to the logical acquisition. KLINGER Finland looks forward to bringing the team from Econosto Oy into the KLINGER family.

Esa Virtanen, as the new CEO of Econosto Oy, will continue to develop the company together with Tanja Lehto (development director), Toni Ålander (sales director) and the professional staff of Econosto Oy. Founders Martti and Ulla Lehto will remain with the company as managers while Econosto Oy will continue as a subsidiary of KLINGER Finland Oy. The current team will continue to serve all customers in the same way and from the same location as before.

Econosto Oy was founded in 1987 and has been privately owned by the Lehto family ever since. The company is located in Kuopio, Finland, and the facility covers an area of 4,000 square meters. They specialize in supplying high-quality valves, level gauges, actuators, expansion joints and strainers, in addition to steam and pressure solutions for the needs of shipyards, manufacturing industries, power plants and wholesalers.

Econosto Oy has always been focused on high customer satisfaction. Today, the company has more than 100 customers in different sectors. Individual and personalized service for their customers is the highest priority. More than 50% of Econosto Oy's deliveries are custom prefabrications, designed and assembled according to the customer's individual needs. On-site services, such as assembly, design and safety adjustment, enable Econosto Oy to ensure satisfaction beyond the delivery of the product. Warehousing services and variable freight options provide support for logistics and supply chain challenges, an important amenity in the post-pandemic market.
