Spray shields / flange protection

No matter what, flange connections through which, for example, aggressive chemicals, thermal oils or high-pressure steam flow always remain risky; these are the critical flange connections. Failing critical flange connections can lead to disastrous consequences. A leak, where pressure is present, creates what are known as 'nozzles'. Personnel who happen to be walking by can be struck by these. Chemicals run off into the ground, and additionally, the surrounding plant can also be affected.
