Seals, also known as gaskets, are often heavily underestimated for their functionality and value. And yet a seal is at least as important as that elementary welded joint of the flange itself that is thoroughly tested for. Because if you do NOT select the right gasket for a specific application, or if a gasket is not properly installed between a critical flange joint, it can lead to disastrous consequences such as toxic spills, fire and even explosions. To prevent this type of calamity, KLINGER not only advises you in selecting the right gasket for your specific application, but we provide training and education in flange assembly.

After Austrian Richard Klinger invented the first level gauging device in 1886, he was forced to also develop valves with seals. In 1921 he created the revolutionary and famous rubber-fiber gasket, the so-called Klingerit®. - KLINGER U.K. contributed to the development of spiral wounds and that Germany's KLINGER Kempchen invented the KAM profiles? The current design of the EUR standard 1514 is according to the model as developed by KLINGER Kempchen . So the contemporary geometry of the KAM profiles are derived from the Kemchen working standards. Also, KLINGER was the originator of the testing methodology used today for the European standard 13555 "Gasket parameters".
